Hyundai Motor officially unveiled the Chinese version of its N brand’s first mass-produced high-performance electric vehicle, the IONIQ 5 N, during the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show, which is expected to be introduced this year and start pre-sales in June.

Referring to the overseas version, the IONIQ 5 N is based on the E-GMP platform dedicated to pure electric vehicles, and is a high-performance version of the IONIQ 5

The new car is based on an 800V platform, supports 350kW fast charging, front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive, has a maximum horsepower/torque of 610 hp/740Nm, and can be released to 650 hp with N Grin Boost mode enabled, exceeding 100 hp in 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 260km/h. In addition, the new car supports 11 levels of adjustable front and rear torque distribution, and also has a drift optimizer function.

Of course, there is also a new aerodynamic package on the outside, which is 50mm wider and 80mm longer than the regular version.

The IONIQ 5 N is powered by an 84kWh battery and is expected to have a range of 200-220 miles, which can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes thanks to the 800V architecture.
