With the rapid development of China’s auto industry in recent years, and car brands from China have also continued to go overseas, according to recently released data, in March 2024, Chinese brands accounted for as much as 33% of the global new car sales, among which Geely, BYD, Chery, Changan and SAIC are the leaders among Chinese auto brands.

According to the data given by the China Passenger Car Association, a total of 8,150,000 new cars were sold worldwide in March 2023, of which Chinese car brands accounted for 33% of the global new car sales market, which shows that Chinese car brands have quietly become a force to be reckoned with in the global car industry.

If you look at the first quarter of this year, among the top 20 car companies in the world in terms of sales, there are five car brands from China, of which Geely successfully entered the 10th place on the list in the first quarter of this year with a sales volume of 738,400 units and a market share of 3.5%, which is the highest ranking among all Chinese car companies, and behind them are BYD (market share of 3.2%), Chery (market share of 3.0%), Changan (market share of 2.6%) and SAIC Motor (market share of 1.7%).
