Energy consumption testing may be an unavoidable topic for new energy vehicles, and how the driving range will be asked about each new energy vehicle. First of all, introduce all of the road that we will driving today. The total kilometer is about 153km, including city road and high speed road. Most of road are high speed road, so it’s very big challenge for pure electric vehicles.

Today we are driving a 510km range version with a 50.6 degree battery. The maximum power of this model is 75kw, the maximum torque is 180Nm, and the maximum speed can reach 140km/h. Officially, their car can go about 10km on a single hour of electricity, so today we’ll take a look at how the car performs.

By the way, according to the rule of the race, we have to finish driving within 145 minutes, if exceed the time limit, the result of race will be invalid, so the speed can not be too low.

Before we set off, we zeroed out the subcounted mileage and recorded the initial range as 502km, after that, everything is ready for today’s test.

In the test, we summarized a few skills to extend the range and put them into action.

I. Control gas pedal

This is very important, to know that the length of the vehicle’s endurance, most of the reason shows from the driver’s driving habits and style, well control the accelerator pedal, do not “willfully” step deep, to avoid large amount of power loss.   We slow step on the accelerator all the way, to ensure the output power of the vehicle to maintain at a low level. For all of us to participate the fuel saving race, slow is not scared, the power data goes off the charts is terrible…

During the driving, we feel that the gas pedal of Bingo PLUS is very sensitive, to it’s very convenient to control and easy to drive.

II. Control the speed

We try to keep the vehicle at a relatively stable speed, after all, fast and slow driving will cause unnecessary energy loss, so we control the speed of the vehicle at 80-90km/h in the high-speed section.

Maybe some friends will say, is it because the vehicle lacks power, when the speed reaches 80-90km/h, it is difficult to accelerate again? Actual not! It is relatively easy to drive all the way to 130km/h, and it is slightly difficult to improve the speed, but under 130km/h is very strong and smooth, don’t worry about the power.

III. Seach big truck to suck up the wake

Is it sounds crazy? In actually, the valid method has been proved. Following behind the big truck, using the wake made by the big truck to reduce the wind resistance will have a certain help for energy consumption, and the speed of the big truck is generally not too fast, which is also very suitable for us to participate in the energy-saving race.

 IV. Flexible use of kinetic energy recovery

The function of kinetic energy recovery can be used as a brake in high-speed sections, as long as it is not a sudden brake, the strength of kinetic energy recovery can cope with the general deceleration, and can also bring a certain energy supplement to the vehicle, facts have proved that this strategy is correct, when the downhill kinetic energy recovery can bring a considerable energy supplement. V. Try not to open the air conditioner and window

It’s simple to understand, opening window will increase the wind resistance, to that the energy consumption of the vehicle greatly increased, as air conditioning is the same. Nothing more to say, please see….

After driving 153.9km, the remaining power is 70%, the remaining endurance is 352km, equivalent to our range dropped by 150km, after conversion, mileage achieved rate of 102.6%, more than 100%, that means the total mileage is higher and higher!

In terms of appearance, Wuling Bingo PLUS adopts wind energy aesthetic design language, the overall shape is more flexible, and provides storm gray, aurora green, quantum black 3 colors to choose.
